The Centerville Big Red football team announced they will be putting on a camp for kids of all ages in August. The camps will give kids a chance to learn the fundamentals and elevate their skills with the new Big Reds football staff.

Four local swimmers recently competed in the 2018 Winter Iowa Games in Dubuque, Iowa at the San Jose Pool on Loras College campus. The swimmers swam in 25 events over a two day period, bringing home 18 medals.

It was the last regular season game for the Appanoose County All-Stars as they took on the All-Stars from Ottumwa American. The 9/10 year old’s comeback bid came up just short as they lost 5-4. The 11/12 year-old’s comeback bid was successful as they came back to win 9-8.

Sheree Lange opened the doors to her tumbling studio, Sheree’s Flip Flop Tumbling, four years ago. She began entering tumblers into competition last year and now two of Lange’s tumblers recently went to the national competition and brought home two national champions.
