Moravia was only 2-3 on the week losing a couple of close games in the Murray Softball Tournament, but Anaya Keith had herself a huge week.
The sophomore was an extremely tough out at the plate, going 11-for-15 (.733 BA) with seven RBIs. She had five RBIs alone in Moravia’s 11-1 win over Mormon Trail. She also pitched all five innings in that game with 10 strikeouts.
She was 2-1 on the mound last week, pitching 22 innings while giving up 12 runs, six earned, on 16 hits with 13 walks and 19 strikeouts helping Moravia to a fourth place finish at the Murray Tournament.
Keith was hitless in the Lady Mohawks first two games before getting multiple hits in four of their five games last week.
She now leads the team in batting average (.550), hits (11), and RBIs (seven). On the mound, Keith owns a 3-1 record with a 1.68 ERA and 26 strikeouts in 25 innings.
Keith and Moravia (3-4) will hit the road to face Central Decatur (4-1) on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
