7:52 a.m. An accident was reported at Highway 5 and Pleasant Street in Cincinnati. Brock Alan Sheldon, 19, of Moravia, was driving a 2006 Ford Focus and fell asleep. His vehicle left the roadway and hit a utility pole and a telephone box. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $4,000. Damage to the utility pole was estimated at $7,000. Damage to the phone box was estimated at $2,000. Sheldon was cited with failure to maintain control.
8:29 a.m. An accident was reported in the 11000 block of Highway T61. Logan Lee Lowe, 30, of Kirksville, Missouri, was driving a 2012 Ford Van southbound on Highway T61. According to the accident report, Matthew Thomas Cappell, 19, of Unionville, Iowa, was driving a 2001 Ford F350 and crossed the center line. The mirrors of both vehicles collided. The driver’s door glass of the vehicle being driven by Lowe exploded, with glass striking the face of Lowe. Cappell was cited for failure to yield half of the roadway. Damage to the Ford Van was estimated at $1,000 and damage to the Ford F350 was estimated at $300.
8:30 a.m. An accident was reported on Highway T61. Richard Todd Bratz, 32, of Centerville, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado southbound when the vehicle experienced steering failure. The vehicle crossed the centerline. The vehicle struck a concrete bridge wall, deflected off the bridge wall and came to a final rest on the northbound shoulder. Damage to the bridge wall was estimated at $100. Damage to the Silverado was estimated at $4,000.
4:30 p.m. Nicole Lynn Farrell, 33, of Bloomfield, was charged at the Lucas County Jail with violation of probation.
1:07 a.m. William Henry Vandermark, 41, of Mystic, was charged in the 16500 block of 481st St. in Mystic with driving while barred.
