Six will contend for Fair Queen

Ashlyn Boecker is the eighteen-year-old daughter of Tanya and Allen Boecker. Ashlyn is a recent graduate of Centerville High School. While in school, she was active in FFA, volleyball, basketball, soccer and National Honor Society. She is also active in 4-H, 4-H Youth Council and dance. Honors received include Student of the Month, Soccer Coach’s Award and Soccer Most Versatile Player. Her hobbies are art, gardening and hanging out with her friends. Ashlyn’s future plans are to attend Indian Hills to obtain her AA in Turf and Landscaping. She plans to continue working at the Hy-Vee pharmacy and teaching dance.

Aubreyonna McGill is the seventeen-year-old daughter of Will and Thilea McGill. Aubreyonna will be a senior at Centerville High School this fall. She is active in Student Council, National Honor Society, volleyball, track manager, FFA and is the FFA President. She is also in 4-H, Youth Council and Backpacks for Kids. Honors received include Iowa FFA Degree, FFA Outstanding Achievement and Certified Nursing Assistant. Her hobbies are working on the farm, showing livestock, gardening and hanging out with friends. Aubreyonna’s future plans after high school are to attend a community college and then transfer to a university to pursue a career in nursing. She plans to obtain her BSN and become a traveling nurse.

Cessna Stufflebeem is the sixteen-year-old daughter of Michelle and Brad Stufflebeem. Cessna will be a junior at Moravia High School this fall. She is active in FFA and cheerleading. She is also active in her church youth group, youth council and the state fair. Honors received include honor roll, record book awards and lettered in cheerleading. Her hobbies are horses, taxidermy and cooking. Cessna’s future plans are to become a chiropractor.

Hannah Hinners is the eighteen-year-old daughter of Paul and Sonja Hinners. Hannah is a recent graduate of Seymour High School. While in school, Hannah was active in softball, volleyball, basketball, track and color guard. She is also active in the Franklin Farmhands 4-H Club and the First Baptist Church. Honors received include 4-H Danforth “I Dare You Award”, numerous 4-H Record Book awards, 4-H Iowa Trust Bank award, Academic All-Conference and All-Conference, All-District and All-State in sports. Her hobbies are playing sports. Hannah’s future plans are to attend Indian Hills Community College and purse a degree in either Radiology Technology or Elementary Education.

Pacey Hawkins is the seventeen-year-old daughter of Steve and Melanie Hawkins. Pacey will be a senior this fall at Centerville High School. She is active in Student Council, FFA and National Honor Society. She is also active in the Iowa Junior Beef Breeds Association, Youth Council, Franklin Farmhand 4-H Club and Backpacks of Love – Feeding Hungry Children. Honors received include Beef Showmanship Champion at numerous shows, Herdsmanship Award at the Iowa State Fair and 1st Overall Placing for FFA Judging and 3rd Overall Individual FFA Judging at the Iowa Beef Expo 2019. Her hobbies are showing cattle, spending time with family and friends, crafting and traveling. Pacey’s future plans are to attend the University of Iowa to pursue a degree in radiology. After college, she plans to work at the Iowa Children’s Hospital.

Shelby Vanderheyden is the seventeen-year-old daughter of Melissa Haines and Jason Vanderheyden. Shelby is a recent graduate of Centerville High School. While in school, she was active in FFA, trapshooting, wrestling and volleyball. She is also active in 4-H, soccer club at DMACC, Student Activity Council, and Phi Theta Kappa. Honors received include CPR certification, CNA license, Phi Theta Kappa member and trapshooting varsity letter. Her hobbies are shooting guns, taking care of animals, bull riding and being outside. Shelby’s future plans are to continue her education at DMACC and obtain her RN. She then plans to enlist in the army and become a combat medic in active duty.
