Last month, Jef-Scot Metal Industries, a Centerville manufacturer of aluminum cast products, celebrated 40 years operating under their current owner, Tri-State Cast Technologies located in Boyne City, Michigan.
The celebration took place at Honey Creek Resort and included day passes to all entertainment at the resort, dinner, awards, and guest speakers. All local employees and their families were invited to the daytime festivities and the evening was reserved for employees and a guest.
Jef-Scot was purchased by Andy Darien, President and founder of Tri-State in 1978 but was originally formed as Jef-Scot Foundry by Guy Sadaro in 1973. A year later, the name was changed to Jef-Scot Metals Industries. Today the Centerville location employs 15 people and serves customers throughout the United States. Industries served include energy, automation, aviation, agriculture, among many others.
Andy Darien, President of Tri-State Cast Technologies, commented, “This was a unique opportunity to bring our family of companies together to celebrate amazing accomplishments! It is important that the event could take place in Centerville because the Jef-Scot operation is taking on more responsibility. I also thank Honey Creek Resort for helping us make the event a great success.”
The company recognized several individual accomplishments as well including milestone years of service, those taking advanced technical education courses and attendance awards.
“Such a successful celebration, 100% attendance of all employees is tremendous!” said Tina Stark, Senior Office Manager of Tri-State Cast Technologies.
Amy Stephens, Office Manager of Jef-Scot said, “It was so nice to finally put faces with the names we’ve worked with for so many years!”, referring to the opportunity to meet representatives from Jef-Scot’s sister companies, Florida Machine & Casting and Morrow Foundry, who were also in attendance.
