Gambles opened its doors in Centerville Jan.1, 1930, just in time for the Great Depression.
It continued to serve Centervillian’s needs until 1984. The store was gutted by fire in 1953 and back in business a few months later. This photo is from a 3-day long event to celebrate a complete remodel of the store in 1968.
