Family and friends recently gathered in the Simon Estes Auditorium to cheer the first step of Kids World's preschoolers' school achievement. Nineteen preschoolers graduated from Kids World's Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program. The preschoolers donned caps and gowns and earned smiles, applause and tears of pride from the audience as they performed songs and proudly walked across the stage to receive their diplomas. The graduation had a Hollywood theme. Each child also received an "Oscar" for a positive trait they possessed
Stacy Freeman's son, Zyler, was one of the graduates. She remarked about the event, "The Kids World preschool graduation was such an amazing event. It definitely showed the children the value of education and the value in themselves. They (the Kids World preschool team) went above and beyond by not only giving the students preschool graduation certificates but also recognizing each child for who they are as an individual as they received their very own Oscar award. I am thankful that my child was able to go through their program!"
Lacey White, mother of graduate Ella, also commented, "We thoroughly enjoyed the graduation program and especially loved the little personalized awards given to each kid! Great idea!"
Sandy Adams added, "Emma enjoyed the preschool class and loved the teachers. They did a wonderful job with the kid's all year! The graduation was wonderful I loved the program!"
The graduates and their families enjoyed cookies and punch after the ceremony.
