The Friends of the Drake Public Library met March 26 with a review of the month’s activities. All of our people contributed pies for PI Day and donations of money are greatly appreciated.
It was noted that the Board of Directors new member is Michelle Moore and the Vice President is Julie Egan. The library is already busy making plans for our Summer Reading Program. An update was given on the art group participation and we are glad the resume workshops are in full swing.
On Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tyler Morgan will have a book signing presentation about his book dealing with the history of Centerville’s Community Band, celebrating 150 years, and the school band history. The public can purchase the book, ask questions and participate in this open house of a local author and our history.
Join us for our April meeting on April 23 where you can learn more of the numerous activities available at our great Drake Public Library.
