•AMERICAN LEGION 280 in Moulton will meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Legion Hall.
•ANIMAL CONTROL MEETING will be held at Centerville City Hall Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
WEDNESDAY 2
•ROTARY CLUB meets each Wednesday at noon at The Manhattan Steakhouse in Centerville.
•NARFE (National Active and Retired Federal Employees) wil meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, at Angel’s Small Mart in Moravia, south of intersection J18 and Highway 5. All employed and retired employees of the Federal Government in relation to enhancing retirement benefits.
•STORYTIMERS at Drake Public Library every Wednesday at 1:15 p.m.
THURSDAY 3
•GAMBLERS ANONYMOUS will be meeting at 10:30 a.m. every Thursday at the Camel Club, 410 Keota in Ottumwa. Call 641-682-8741, ext. 301.
•FRIENDS OF THE DRAKE PUBLIC LIBRARY will meet on the fourth Thursday of each month at 5 p.m. at the library, Iowa Room.
•AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY 214 meets the second Thursday of every month at 1:30 p.m. at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church basement at 15th and Sheridan, Centerville.
FRIDAY 4
•4TH OF JULY AT MOULTON. Co-ed slow pitch games all day at the Moulton Sports Complex. The Sports Association will have a concession stand open all day. Lions Club will serve tenderloins at 6 p.m. Moulton Chamber of Commerce will have homemade ice cream and pie at 7 p.m. Lions Club will sponsor fireworks at dusk. Pyrotechnics by the Stevenson family.
•4TH OF JULY AT EXLINE. Pie Baking Contest - disposable pan only - soft, two crusts categories. Enter on July 4 by 10 a.m. Contest is at 10:30 a.m. Champion: $50. 1st place, each category: $25. Second place, $15. Air conditioned cake walk at 1:30 p.m.
•CINEMA 4 MOVIES: Ends Thursday, July 3: The Love Guru. Starts July 2: Hancock. Now through July 10: Wall-E, Wanted, Get Smart.
•CENTERVILLE HISTORIC TROLLEY RIDES every Friday at 1:30 p.m. from the Continental Hotel.
SATURDAY 5
•CENTERVILLE AMERICAN LEGION BINGO every Saturday night. Doors open by 3 p.m., early bird bingo at 5:30 p.m. Regular games follow. Held at 114 North 13th. You can park on Main Street and use the back door. Phone 641-856-8924.
SUNDAY 6
•EAGLES BINGO will be held on the Levee every Sunday. Early bird at 5:30 p.m., regular at 6 p.m. New prices and prizes, $1.
•MOULTON AMERICAN LEGION POST 280 will be hosting a fish fry in the Moulton City Park on June 28 at 5:30 p.m. Free will donations. In case of rain, it will move to the Legion Hall in Moulton.
