Moulton scores come-from-behind win

MOULTON — The Moulton-Udell Lady Eagles picked up their fifth win of the year on Tuesday, beating the Seymour Warriorettes 6-5 after claiming two runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Seymour earned an early 4-0 lead after three innings of play. Moulton would shorten the gap with a three-run fifth inning. They tied the game up in the sixth with another run, making the score 4-4.

Seymour regained the lead in the top of the seventh inning with a run, making the score 5-4.

Moulton would pick up two-runs in the bottom of the seventh for the 6-5 victory.

“This was a game where we just battled and gave ourself a chance to win,” Moulton-Udell head coach Jason Ogden said. “The kids did a great job battling all night. I thought we ran the bases very well tonight and we were able to make things happen and do the little things to help us win.”

Moulton-Udell (14-8, 3-6 in BGC) is off until Monday when they’ll play in Lamoni in the first round of regionals.
