The Manhattan golf course held a Junior Golf tournament yesterday for junior golfers.

The participants were split into three groups: nine and under, 10 and 11 year olds and 12 and 13 year olds.

Tee time was 9 a.m. and the tournament lasted until about noon as 14 junior golfers took to the course.

The nine and under age group played six holes, while the older two age groups played a full nine holes.

Medals were handed out to the winners of each age group.

The nine and under winner was Kaleb Cochran with a score of 32 in six holes of golf while Colton Belloma scored a 56 on nine holes of golf and took home the first place medal in the 10-11 year olds.

Jacob Hargrave had the best score of the day  with a 54 and came in first in the 12-13 year old division.

Volunteers accompanied the groups of junior golfers, including some of the members of the Big Red Golf team coached by Mike Carney, who ran the event.
