Appanoose Ladies golf report

The ladies at the Appanoose Country Club enjoyed a beautiful sunny spring day.
The "Play of the Day" was regular golf. Medalist for the day was Peggy Elliott. The winners according to flights were: first flight was Peggy Elliott, Fonda Harris won second flight. The winner in the third flight was Madeline Cummins and newcomer Courtney Koestner was the winner in the fourth flight.
Peggy Elliott and Marge Smith both had chip-ins, Peggy on hole number eight and Marge on hole number two.
The mini-tournament was "Guess Your Putts" and there were six winners with the correct guess: Doris Sharp, Peggy Elliott, Terri Clark. Marge Smith, Bev Fike and Betty Talbot. Way to go girls!
The basket drawing was won by Gerry Krsnak.
Next week the play of the day will be "Score less Handicap". The Ringer Tournament starts May 21st. Meet at the club by 10:00. Our in-house Vanna White (alias) Cheryl Brewer will draw from her special bingo ball cage for partners.
The five o'clock golfers will set their own times and pairings. We were thrilled to see so many of them out this last week!
