Howar Junior High girls host track season finale

CENTERVILLE – The Howar Junior High girls track-and-field teams hosted the final track meet of the season at Paul Johnson Field on Thursday evening.
Centerville won the overall trophy at the meet which goes to the school with the most total team points combined from seventh and eighth grade competition. The Howar seventh graders finished third while the eighth graders took first place in the team standings ahead of Albia, Davis County, Oskaloosa, Knoxville and Eddyville-Blakesburg.
The win for the eighth graders wrapped up a perfect junior high record. The Howar eighth graders finished their seventh and eighth grade years by winning every track meet they competed in.
