Several area athletes qualified for the state track meet after recording impressive performance at the district meet.
In 3A boys competition, Centerville’s Logan Danko (200), Levi Long (800), Brent Ewing (1,600) and Wallace Carter (shot put, discus) qualified while the Big Red 4x100, 4x200 and distance medley relay teams also qualified for the state meet.
In class 3A girls competition, Centerville’s Katie Dekker advanced in two events (high jump, 400 hurdles) while Kaylee Mehrhoff also earned a spot at the state meet in the shot put for the Redettes.
Ethan Miller of Seymour and Chris Welch of Moulton-Udell will be competing in class 1A at the state meet.
Miller qualified in the high jump, long jump and 400 hurdles while Welch advanced to state in the high jump and 110 hurdles.
