OTTUMWA – Occupants of "Cloud Nine" should scoot over. Indian Hills is joining the party.

The Warriors' 75-72 victory over No. 11 Iowa Western Wednesday led to a jubilant celebration that ended with Indian Hills coach Jeff Kidder reaching up to cut down the net.

The Warriors (25-8) clinched their second straight Iowa Conference Championship with the win in the Region XI Tournament Finals. Indian Hills won the best-of-three series 2-0. The Warriors will meet Lake Region State (22-9) of North Dakota on Tuesday at the Hellyer Center in Ottumwa for the district crown and the right to return to the NJCAA National Tournament.

Indian Hills' impressive, if not improbable, ascent to the title started on Monday in Council Bluffs with an 81-77 overtime victory. The Reivers were 60-1 in their last 61 games at Kanesville Arena before the shocking loss.

The momentum continued to swing in the Warriors' favor on Wednesday.
