Free Promise Land Music Festival returning to Ottumwa in July

OTTUMWA — Promise Land Music Festival 2013, a fun filled, free event is coming back to Ottumwa.

The festival will take place in Greater Ottumwa Park located on Highway 34 in Ottumwa from July 12-13.

In 2012 the festival had more than 1,000 people come and enjoy good positive music and entertainment over the weekend.

Thousand Foot Krutch will be the headliner for Saturday. They have had four top 25 Active Rock Hits including song appearances on ESPN, NASCAR, MLB, NFL, UFC and in movies like GI JOE and in the television show Smallville. Their new album that was released in March of 2012 debuted at No. 1 in Hard Rock and Christian Rock on the Billboard Top 100 as well as No. 14 overall across all genres.

There will be two stages featuring more than 12 bands performing over the two days along with camping, fishing, food, speakers, kids activities and much much more.
