The Walkers to appear locally

The Daily Iowegian

---- — If you love good gospel music, then you do not want to miss an evening with the Walkers. One of the most versatile groups in gospel music today, the Walkers write primarily all of the material the group performs. From a high energy blend of southern, country and contemporary music blended together to form that “Walker Style” that has endeared them to fans across the country, to traditional hymns, as well as some of today’s top praise and worship, it will be a night of music that everyone will enjoy.

The Walkers are in full time ministry, traveling from their home base in Florida to nearly every state in the continental U.S. and all the way to Alaska. They are seen in churches, auditoriums, campgrounds and have even been in concert at the Upper Senate Park right across from the U.S. Capital building in Washington, D.C.

Their current radio single “Waiting For The Son To Rise” from their latest album “Twenty” has garnered strong airplay nationwide. It currently sits at No. 9 in April’s Power Source Magazine Top 100 for Inspirational/Christian Country Music, the official publication of the Christian Country Music Association.

The Walkers will be in concert at Solid Rock Church of God, 1220 Rock Valley Road on June 23 at 6 p.m.

Pastor Tony W. Angran invites everyone to attend. For more information call (641) 436-1171 or (641) 856-8308 or go to www.thewalkersonline.com.
