Hope Pregnancy Center, a Christian pro-life ministry, has relocated and is now behind the American Legion, Levee Laundry and the caboose on the Levee in Centerville. The new building is owned by Jamie and Shawna Lewellen. The ministry offers pregnancy tests and options counseling, material assistance, parenting and abstinence education and has served 120 clients in the community.
In addition, they provide an abortion recovery program to help women who have been suffering in silence after an abortion decision and need healing and restoration. All their services are free and confidential through the charitable donations of churches and individuals. HPC has also been involved in putting up signs in the community that encourages the sanctity of life and abstinence until marriage.
They are preparing for a youth event in October this year that will feature Pam Stenzel, a dynamic speaker and author who educates teens on sex, love and relationships. For more information, contact director, Carol Sheets through their website: HopePregnancyCenterville.com or phone: (641) 856-2220.
