Churches celebrate the holiday

The Daily Iowegian

---- — The Cincinnati and Unionville United Methodist churches are a “charge,” sharing one pastor. These are small rural churches; but with big hearts and a love for their Lord and their community.

This coming Sunday afternoon, the Cincinnati Church will be having, what they are calling, a Christmas celebration of music and goodies. This will be at the church at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8. Music will be provided, in the church sanctuary, by John Van Weelden, followed by a time of fellowship and Christmas goodies, in the church dining room. The entire community is welcome to join in the celebration.

On Saturday evening, Dec. 14, the Unionville Church will be having a celebration of Christmas, with a light supper at 5 p.m. in the church dining room, followed by a candle light service in the Sanctuary at 6 p.m. The community is welcome to this event, also.

All are welcome to either or both of these events. Come and get your holiday season started with hope, peace, joy and love.
