Webb returns to Church of the Brethren

The Daily Iowegian

---- — Fairview Church of the Brethren is delighted to host the dynamic speaker Dennis Webb for one stop on his “circuit ride” through southern Iowa. His trip is inspired by the circuit riding preachers of 150 years ago.

Pastor Dennis Webb was born in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and felt God’s calling to the Christian ministry in 1984. He served as resident pastor in the churches of the Jamaica before migrating to the US in 1999. Webb’s experiences also include hospital chaplaincy, and pastorates at internationally diverse congregations, one of which is the Naperville Church of the Brethren in Naperville, Ill., where he currently pastors.

He will be at Fairview on Tuesday, Oct. 14, when he will speak on the topic “God Still uses Folks with Flaws.” Other stops on his circuit ride include the English River Church of the Brethren, east of South English, Iowa, on Oct. 13 and the Ottumwa Church of the Brethren, 1210 W. Williams, on Oct. 14 and Prairie City Church of the Brethren, west of Monroe, Iowa, on Oct. 16.

All meetings start with carry-in dinner at 6 p.m. with worship and the message to follow at 7 p.m.

Our church is located at 18140 Highway T61 in Unionville, Iowa. For more information contact ministers Carl and Sharon Heien at (641) 856-4030.
