Archery program coming to Moravia

The Daily Iowegian

---- — Lighthouse Church of the Nazarene at 405 Myra Lane in Moravia will be having an archery program for eight weeks this summer. The program is called “CENTERSHOT.” It was started by Matthew’s Bows founder Matthew McPherson and utilizes the Genesis bows made by Matthew’s. Each lesson includes shooting skills as well as life applications that can be drawn from the archery lessons. This is a Christian program that teaches Christian morals and principles

The program will begin on June 19 at 6 p.m. at the church in Moravia. All shooting will be done indoors so it will not be affected by weather. The program is open to boys and girls who will be going into fourth, fifth or sixth grades this fall. Parents are welcome to stay at every session to watch and encourage their child.

You can come on June 19 and enroll but it would be helpful if you call the church ahead of time to help us plan and be sure we have enough equipment. Also, if your child is left handed that would be helpful to know as well. There will be left handed bows available. Everything will be provided and there is no cost to the children in the program.

To register your children you can call the church office at (641) 724-3649. For more information call Steve Davidson, program director at (641) 680-8833.
