Hailey Jewel and Karyle McElvarn enjoy working on a craft project while Amanda Moser holds Beavey, the club mascot. The Centerville Seventh-day Adventist Church is happy to announce the opening of a children's program called Eager Beavers for ages 5-7. The program is an extension of the worldwide Christian scouting program called Pathfinders. Eager Beavers is a wonderful mix of Vacation Bible School and scouting. The theme of Eager Beavers is to follow the natural habits of beavers in nature in being workers and builders in their homes, schools, and communities. Children learn many new things about their world as they earn "wood chips," which are similar to reward patches that scouts earn. Eager Beavers Club meets on Tuesdays at 3:45 p.m. Transportation is available and there is no fee to attend. Parents are welcome. Meetings are held at the Seventh-day Adventist Church located across from Golf View in Centerville. For more information, call 856-3176.
