8:14 p.m. Criminal mischief was reported in the 700 block of West Madison Street. The victim reported damage to a 1994 Ford F150. Damage was estimated at $5.

Sept. 20

Alicia Schwering, of Centerville, was stopped at a red light in the turning lane on 18th Street in a 2005 Pontiac G6. Allison Banasik, of Albia, was driving a 1999 Mercury Mountaineer north on 18th Street when she dropped her cigarette. Banasik looked down and failed to see Schwering’s vehicle. Banasik’s vehicle struck Schwering’s vehicle in the rear. Damage to Banasik’s vehicle was estimated at $400. Damage to Schwering’s vehicle was estimated at $1,500. Banasik was charged with failure to maintain control and failure to show proof of insurance.

9:33 a.m. Striking an unattended vehicle was reported in the 200 block of South Main Street. The victim reported damage to a 1999 Mercury Sable. Damage was estimated at $400.

1:52 p.m. Theft was reported in the 800 block of East Maple Street. The victim reported that assorted mail valued at $5 was stolen.

4:08 p.m. Theft was reported in the 600 block of CHS Drive. The victim reported a Motorola HTC Merge cell phone valued at $100 was stolen.

7:41 p.m. Theft was reported in the 700 block of West Madison Street. The victim reported a trolling motor and foot petal valued at $400 was stolen.

Sept. 21

10:48 p.m. Anthony Clay Reep, 55, of Moulton, was charged in the 500 block of North Main Street with having an open container is a motor vehicle and sale/display/possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sept. 22

2:20 a.m. Kyle Wayne Tait, 18, of Centerville, Shawn Trenton Buckallew, 18, of Cincinnati, and Jason Lee Ankrom, 18, of Centerville were each charged in the 300 block of North 12th Street with possession of alcohol under age. Tait was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

2:21 a.m. Two juveniles were charged with possession of alcohol under age and possession of drug paraphernalia.

10:41 p.m. Criminal mischief was reported in the 1100 block of East Cross Street. The victim reported damage to a 2004 Chevrolet van.

Sept. 23

9:52 p.m. Gregory Allen Jones, 34, of Centerville, was charged at the Law Center with failure to appear.

Sept. 24

8:05 a.m. Thomas Walter Martin, 40, of Mystic, had his pre-trial released revoked in the 200 block of West Van Buren Street.

9:58 a.m. Jeffrey Todd Keener, 26, of Centerville, was charged in the 200 block of North 13th Street with disorderly conduct.

7:47 p.m. Steven Edward Stickler, Jr., 23, of Centerville, was charged in the 900 block of East Green Street with forgery.

Sept. 25

9:50 a.m. Michael Perry, of Des Moines, was stopped in a 1997 Ford in the turning lane on 18th Street waiting to turn into a business drive. Arlene Putnam, of Unionville, Mo., was driving a 2007 Toyota northbound on 18th Street and lost consciousness. Her vehicle crossed into the turning lane and struck the rear of Perry’s vehicle. Damage to Putnam’s vehicle was estimated at $5,000. Damage to Perry’s vehicle was estimated at $1,200. Putnam was charged with failure to maintain control.
