11:13 a.m. Shelauna Renee Dixon, 27, was charged in the 200 block of North 13th Street on two out of county warrants. She was later transferred.
Doris Morris, of Seymour, was stopped in a 2003 Mercury Sable at a stop sign on South 12th Street at the intersection of West Maple Street. Morris thought the intersection was a four way stop and pulled out into the travelled portion of the roadway intending to drive north across the highway onto North 12th Street. Morris did see an approaching 1989 Ford F-150 driven by Quint Porter, of Centerville, but thought he had to stop at the intersection and pulled out in front of his vehicle. Porter attempted to stop by locking his brakes but was unable to stop and his vehicle broadsided Morris’ vehicle. No one was injured and Morris admitted to being at fault. No citations were issued in the collision. Damage to Porter’s vehicle was estimated at $200. Damage to Morris’ vehicle was estimated at $3,000.
A juvenile was charged at the Law Center with fourth degree theft.
Megan Hovious, of Centerville, was stopped in a 2000 Chevrolet Venture at a stop sign at 10th and Washington streets facing southbound. Hovious proceeded southbound on 10th Street. Paul Hill, of Rathbun, was stopped in a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee at the stop sign facing eastbound on Washington Street. Hill did not see Hovious and proceeded through the intersection striking Hovious’ vehicle broadside on the passenger side of the vehicle. Damage to each vehicle was estimated at $1,000.
11:49 p.m. Cody Allen Agan, 27, of Centerville, was charged at 15th and Jackson streets with simple assault and fifth degree criminal mischief.
