3 a.m. Burglary and theft were reported in the 2000 block of South 16th Street. The victim reported a wallet and several credit cards and ID valued at $100 were stolen.

Dec. 23

Jacob Reed Hawkins, of Centerville, was driving a 2001 Jeep Cherokee in the 500 block of West Lane and was intentionally sliding around on the snow covered streets when he lost control of the vehicle and slid off the roadway hitting a brick pillar at the entrance of the Centerville City Park. Damage to Hawkins vehicle was estimated at $5,000. Hawkins was charged with failure to maintain control.

Jan. 2

11:23 a.m. Angela Sue Foxen, 44, and Ashley Elizabeth Huckman, 26, both of Albia, were each charged at the Law Center with third degree theft. Both later posted bond and were released.

6:38 p.m. A hit and run was reported in the 200 block of South 18th Street. The victim reported damage to a 1995 Ford Taurus. Damage was estimated at $1,200.

7:25 p.m. Cody Rayvon Smothers, 23, of Centerville, was charged in the 400 block of West Maple Street with extortion.

10:50 p.m. Burglary and criminal mischief were reported in the 800 block of East Jackson Street. The victim reported damage to a book shelf and couch. Damage was estimated at $150.

Jan. 3

Nettie Nyrn, of Corydon, was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer east on West Maple Street when the light changed at the intersection of 10th and Maple streets. Nyrn stopped her vehicle for the light. Terry Rebol, of Moravia, was driving a 2004 International Semi and was following Nyrn's vehicle and observed the vehicle stop. Rebol failed to stop his vehicle in time and it rear ended Nyrn's vehicle. Rebol said that Nyrn's vehicle stopped abruptly which caused him not to be able to stop his vehicle in time. Nyrn stated she had a headache and neck pain following the crash but refused medical treatment at the scene but was going by private vehicle to the hospital. Damage to Rebol's vehicle was estimated at $750. Damage to Nyrn's vehicle was estimated at $500. Rebol was charged with failure to maintain control.

1:52 p.m. A hit and run was reported in the 23000 block of Highway 5. The victim reported damage to a 2012 Chevrolet Impala. Damage was estimated at $500.

3:44 p.m. Striking an unattended motor vehicle was reported at 10th and Washington streets. Damage to a U.S.P.S. vehicle was estimated at $750.

Jan. 4

6:39 p.m. Mondra Rosalie Adrianse, 26, of Centerville, was charged in the 400 block of South 18th Street with forgery. She was later given pre-trial release.

Jan. 5

12:20 a.m. Dakota Lane Ballanger, 20, of Centerville, was charged on the north side of the Square with OWI, first offense and driving with a suspended license.

6:48 p.m. Mondra Rosalie Adrianse, 26, of Centerville, was charged at the Law Center with child endangerment and domestic assault causing bodily injury. She was later released on her own recognizance.

9:03 p.m. Kevin Wayne Davis, 39, of Centerville, was charged at the Law Center with child endangerment and domestic assault causing bodily injury.

Jan. 6

10:46 a.m. William Steven Owen, 19, of Centerville, was charged in the 800 block of East Maple Street with third degree sexual abuse. He was later released on his own recognizance.

3:27 p.m. Nathan Leroy Vanderecken, 26, of Centerville, had his probation/parole revoked at the Law Center.

Jan. 8

7:20 p.m. Christian Jay Rogers, 18, of Centerville, was charged in the 1100 block of West Washington Street with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jan. 9

2:43 a.m. Katie Marie Austin, 21, of Centerville, was charged in the 700 block of North Main Street with disorderly conduct.
