WAYNE COUNTY —
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office arrested Brett Cole Dyer, 26, of Derby, after he was found in a vehicle in front of a residence on J22 approximately two miles east of Cambria. Dyer was charged with second offense operating while intoxicated, open container and failure to have a valid driver's license. Dyer appeared before the magistrate later in the day and was released on his own recognizance.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office arrested Benjamin Roy Bishop, 35, of Corydon, following a traffic stop on Highway 14 in Corydon. Bishop was charged with driving while denied, suspended or revoked, failure to have a valid driver's license, failure to show proof of insurance and operating without registration. Bishop appeared before the magistrate and pleaded guilty. He was then fined and sentenced to 48 hours in the Wayne County Jail.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office arrested Michael Eugene Hayes, 56, of Centerville, following a traffic stop east of Corydon on Highway 2. Hayes was charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (hydrocodone). Hayes appeared before the magistrate the following day and was released on his own recognizance.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office arrested David Arthur Anderson, Jr., 20, of Allerton on a charge of supplying alcohol to persons under the legal age. Anderson appeared before the magistrate and was released after posting bond.
