Beth Parmer, of Humeston, reported that a Suzuki King Quad ATV and a Craftsman air compressor were missing from a shed on a farm they rent on Highway 65 north of Humeston. The missing items were valued at $6,200.

June 22

Judy Bailey reported that someone had broken into a house she was remodeling on 25th Street west of Humeston. Several tools and other items were reported missing. Value of the missing items was listed at $805.

June 25

Corydon Police investigated several incidents of vandalism that had occurred overnight. Someone had spray-painted graffiti and obscene comments on the Head Start building and on the playground equipment at the Wayne Elementary School. It was then discovered that cars owned by Nick Loew and Cade Christianson parked in the vicinity and three street signs in the area had also been vandalized.

June 26

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Shawn Anthony Bradberry, 22, of Corydon, on a charge of driving while suspended following a traffic stop in Corydon. Bradberry appeared before the magistrate the following day and was released on his own recognizance.

July 2

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by Seymour Police, arrested Jacob Daniel Johnson, 28, of Corydon, and Tiffany Michelle Osburn, 31, of Allerton, following reports of individuals shouting and throwing objects at vehicles on Highway S40 in Harvard. Johnson was charged with disorderly conduct, harassment and public intoxication. A charge of second degree criminal mischief was added following damage to a cell in the Wayne County Jail. Osburn was charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication. Both appeared before the magistrate the following day and both remain in the Wayne County Jail. Bail for Johnson was set at $5,000. Osburn pleased guilty to both charges, was fined and sentenced to 48 hours in the Wayne County Jail on each charge.
