7:15 p.m. Thomas Darwin King, 59, of Melrose, was driving a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle southwest in the 12300 block of Highway S70 when the vehicle veered off the highway onto the north shoulder. The Appanoose County Law Center received a report of the accident and that the driver was breathing but otherwise unresponsive lying in the west ditch with an obvious head injury. King was transported by air ambulance to Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Damage to the motorcycle was estimated at $12,000. First responders advised they could smell a strong odor of alcohol on King’s breath while they were treating him.
11:39 p.m. Theodore Franklin Garrison, 28, of Seymour, was charged in the 800 block of North 18th Street with third degree burglary.
10:57 a.m. Darin Eric Anders, 38, of Moulton, was charged in the 200 block of West Van Buren Street on an out of county warrant.
12:03 a.m. Charles Denver Drake, 20, of Centerville, was charged in the 20000 block of 205th Avenue with possession of alcohol under age.
12:15 a.m. Andrew Ryan Starcevich, 19, of Albia, Trevor Daniel Thompson, 19, of Albia, Jacquelyn Kate Gilbert, 20, of Lovilla, Taylor Zoanne Helm, 18, of Albia and Jacob Paul Maughan, 20, of Albia, were each charged at Prairie Ridge Campgrounds with possession of alcohol under age.
