Nov. 7

5:57 a.m. A one vehicle accident was reported near the intersection of 138th Avenue and Highway J46. Tyler Wayne Shanahan, 19, of Centerville, was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox west on Highway J46 when he fell asleep and entered the north ditch and rolled once. Shanahan was transported by Mercy helicopter to Mercy Hospital with possible injuries. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $3,000.

1:43 p.m. A one vehicle accident was reported near the intersection of 180th Avenue and 535th Street. Jada J. Belloma, 27, of Centerville was driving a 2002 General Motors Yukon south on 180th Avenue when the vehicle hit some potholes while crossing a bridge. Belloma took evasive action and left the roadway and struck an embankment and dirt driveway. The vehicle rolled and landed on the passenger side. Passenger Makenna Jean Pershy, 18, of Centerville, was extricated from the vehicle and was transported by Mercy ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Centerville with incapacitating injuries. Belloma was transported by Mercy ambulance to Mercy Hospital Centerville with incapacitating injuries. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $15,000.

Nov. 8

2:10 p.m. Zachary James Elarton, 20, of Centerville, was charged at the Appanoose County Law Center with probation, parole revocation. Bond was posted at 3:50 p.m. and Elarton was released.

Nov. 9

8:58 p.m. Shaianne Marie Vilvens, 19, of Centerville, was charged in the 1000 block of South Main Street with first degree burglary and willful injury.

11:33 p.m. Shelby Marie Benesh, 21, of Centerville, was charged at the Appanoose County Law Center with first degree burglary and willful injury. Bond was posted at 11:02 a.m. Nov. 11 and Benesh was released.

11:34 p.m. Natasha Renee Stonerock, 24, of Centerville, was charged at the Appanoose County Law Center with two counts of aiding and abetting.

Nov. 11

9:40 p.m. A one vehicle accident was reported near the intersection of Highway 5 and 240th Avenue. Dylan Michael Jourdan, 20, of Albia, was driving a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville south in the 15000 block of Highway 5 when a deer entered the road and was struck. Jourdan was not injured. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,500.

6:14 p.m. Sammy Dale Joles, 33, homeless, was charged at the Appanoose County Law Center with probation violation.

6:35 p.m. A one vehicle accident was reported near the intersection of Highway 202 and 535th Street. Shane Eugene Foglesong, 27, of Centerville, was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu south in the 23000 block of Highway 202 when a deer entered the road and was struck. Foglesong was not injured. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $5,000.

Nov. 18

5:02 p.m. The owner reported criminal mischief in the 300 block of East Maple. A 2000 Chevy Impala sustained an estimated $200 in damage.

Nov. 21

8:45 a.m. An employee reported a gas drive off in the 800 block of North 18th valued at $20.

9:36 a.m. An employee reported a gas drive off in the 800 block of North 18th valued at $35.

10 a.m. Julie Ann Jordan, 31, of Ottumwa, was charged at the Appanoose County Law Center with fifth degree theft.

4:25 p.m. The owner reported criminal mischief in the 400 block of North Main Street. The windshield and turn signals of a vehicle sustained $350 in damage.

Nov. 24

A two vehicle accident was reported in the 600 block of South 18th Street. Nichole Marie Tait, of Centerville, driving a 1999 Ford Contour south on South 18th Street collided with a legally parked vehicle, a 2005 Mercury Sable GS, owned by John Ervin Stringer, Jr. Damage to the Contour was estimated at $4,500.
