The Appanoose County Sheriff’s office reported an accident at 160th Avenue and Highway 2. A vehicle driven by Michael John McKinley, 38, of Palo while traveling east on Highway 2 struck a deer that had entered the road. The 2011 Chevrolet EQX sustained an estimated $3,000 in damage. McKinley was not injured.
2:45 p.m. Richard Brian Mason, 33, of Centerville, was charged in the 100 block of North 12th Street with stalking. He was released on his own recognizance the next morning.
12:04 a.m. Jeffrey Wayne Wiley, 47, of Savannha, Mo., was charged in the 12000 block of Highway S70 with drunken driving, first offense. He was released on a promise to appear approximately eight hours later.
5:25 p.m. Jonathan Dryu Duzenberry, 18, of Centerville, was charged in the 800 block of West Cottage Street with failure to appear in two felony criminal cases. Bond was posted approximately two hours later.
9:42 p.m. Larry Duane Ingersoll, 69, of Des Moines, was charged at 160th Avenue and Highway 2 with drunken driving, first offense.
