An accident was reported at 18th and State streets. Zane Parham, of Sioux City, was driving a 2004 Dodge Neon northbound on South 18th Street. Sinjen Ruby, of Centerville, was also driving northbound on South 18th Street in a 1996 Hyundai Elentra, in front of Parham’s vehicle. Ruby stopped for a vehicle in front of his that was turning. Parham failed to see Ruby’s car stopping and his vehicle struck Ruby’s in the rear. Damage to Parham’s vehicle was estimated at $1,700. Damage to Ruby’s vehicle was estimated at $200. Parham was charged with failure to maintain control. Ruby was charged with failure to provide security against liability.

1:32 p.m. Boyce Albert Brewster, 68, of Centerville, was charged in the 200 block of North Main Street with OWI, second offense. He was later released on his own recognizance.

9:49 p.m. Megan Rae Gardner, 27, of Centerville, was charged in the 400 block of East Washington Street with having a nuisance animal.

11:34 p.m. Roy Andrew Heartley, 48, of Centerville, was charged in the 200 block of South Drake Avenue with manufacture/possession with intent/conspiracy, three counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He also had his probation/parole revoked.

2:44 a.m. Matthew Daniel Bowlden, 23, of Centerville, was charged at 18th and East Walsh streets with OWI, first offense.
