The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office investigated a one car accident on 190th Street. A 2005 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Angela Marie Nickell, 31, of Allerton, was southbound on 190th Street just south of Timber Road when it went into the ditch and over a culvert. Damage to Nickell’s car was estimated at $6,500. Nickell was issued a citation for failure to maintain control.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office investigated a property damage accident in Promise City. A 2008 Buick Regal driven by Robin Lee Goldbeg, 65, of Seymour, was stopped at the stop sign on S56 preparing to turn onto Highway 2 when the vehicle was struck in the rear by a 2001 Buick LeSabre driven by Troy Christopher Conger, 21, of Seymour. Damage to Goldberg’s car was estimated at $2,000 and to Conger’s vehicle at $200. Conger was issued a citation for failure to stop within an assured clear distance.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested David Arthur Anderson, 43, of Allerton, on two counts of abandonment of dogs. Anderson appeared before the magistrate the following day and pleaded guilty to the charge. He was then fined and released.
Corydon Police investigated a hit and run accident in the parking lot at the Wayne County Hospital. Tim Swan, of Corydon, reported that his 2003 Chevrolet Suburban had been struck by an unknown vehicle while parked in the lot. Damage to Swan’s vehicle was estimate at $3,000.
