CENTERVILLE LEGION POST 214, meets the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Continental at St. Joseph’s in the meeting room to the right of the V.A. office.
APPANOOSE COUNTY WEEKLY MEALS, a free meal and fellowship is held every Monday at Faith United Methodist Church on Highway 5 north of John Deere. Meals are available from 5-6 p.m. Rides are not being provided at this time. The menu for today will be chili and chicken noodle soup, cornbread, crackers, a variety of cakes for dessert with milk, water lemonade, coffee or tea to drink. Plano Christian Church will host this meal.
SONS OF THE PIONEERS, will perform at Simon Estes Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. They are the world’s premier cowboy singing group. Season membership holders get in free or tickets are $15 at the door. The performance is part of the Centerville Concert Association’s line up.
CENTERVILLE COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE, will be held from 12-5 p.m. at Grace Tabernacle Church in the Fellowship Hall at 914 N. Park St. To schedule an appointment go to www.lifeservebllodcenter.org or call (800) 287-4903. The blood drive is sponsored by TTT AS and the Hospital Auxiliary.
BOB GROUP, meets at Centerville City Hall at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
JOIN NEST, a parent education class for expecting parents or parents with children up to 5 years old. Any parents can attend by filling out an enrollment packet. The class is Tuesdays at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. and Thursdays at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Extension Office, 501 N. 12th St. in Centerville.
TAKING OFF POUNDS SENSIBLY, “TOPS,” meets Tuesdays at 6 p.m. at the First Baptist Church. Weigh-in begins at 6 p.m. and meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Everyone welcome.
AMERICAN LEGION 280, in Moulton, will meet the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Legion Hall.
TOUCHING OUR GRIEF, an ongoing educational grief and support group though HCI Care Service, meets the third Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. at the office HCI Care Services, 103 E. HONEY CREEK, 9–10 a.m. – Animal Cache – If you were a squirrel, where would you hide your cache? Join a naturalist for this one hour hike to look for winter hiding places. Meet at the Activities Building. Wear comfortable clothes. Great for all ages.

HPC DRIV THRU DINNER, will be served at 5 p.m. at State Street Station. Menu will be cavatini, bread, green beans and dessert. Cost is $6 per meal. Free delivery in Centerville by calling (641) 895-4513. Proceeds go to the trolley.
HONEY CREEK, 4–4:30 p.m. – Discovery Hike – Get a sampling of Honey Creek Resort State Park’s nature during this half hour hike with a naturalist. Meet on the deck of the Activities Building. Great for all ages.

BEANS FOR A DONATION, meal will be served from 5-6:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Unionville, Iowa. The cornbread and bean supper is sponsored by the Legion Auxiliary. After dinner go next door and see the “Hee Haw Show” in the Unionville Gym at 6:30 p.m.

HONEY CREEK, 4–4:30 p.m. – Rock Skipping Hike – Take a leisurely stroll with a naturalist to learn how to skip rocks or refine your rock skipping abilities. Meet on the deck of the Activities Building. This hike is great for all ages. There are some steep hills and the terrain may be rough.
HONEY CREEK, 11–11:30 a.m. – Attracting Birds – Join a naturalist in the lobby to learn how to attract birds to your back yard. Great for all ages.
1 p.m. & 3 p.m.– Recycled Christmas Ornament – Learn now to take common items around your house and turn them into amazing Christmas ornaments. Participants will make an ornament to take home and some to decorate our recycled Christmas tree which will be decorated on Thanksgiving weekend. Meet in the basement of the Activities Building. Great for all ages.
