Cincinnati City Council will meet Monday, March 10 at 6 p.m. at Cincinnati Community Center.
Items on the agenda include acting fire chief is assistant fire chief Joe Sivetts until a new chief can be found, fire department is recruiting volunteer firefighters, calendar year 2013 salaries have been published, approve agenda with any additions, approve minutes of Feb. 10 meeting, approve expenditures for February, approve financial reports for February, approve volunteer fire department meeting minutes for Jan. 27 and Feb. 18 meetings, department reports from fire, park and community, cemetery, water and sewer utilities and road, public hearing on proposed revenue purpose statement for gas utility franchise fee, Res. 14-06: adopt revenue purpose statement for gas franchise fee, adopt Ord. 258: granting Interstate Power and Light Co. (Alliant Energy) a 25-year non-exclusive gas franchise fee at unknown percent, consider adjustment to water-sewer bills due to large water leaks from various customers, L. Herteen: update on Cincinnati Development Initiative group, Res. 14-08: approve restricting two sewer CDs as reserve sewer funds per loan agreements, open contract mowing bids for Pleasant Hill and Evergreen Cemeteries for 2014 season; determine if going with contract mowing or city-paid caretaker, discuss memorial plaques for memorial flags at cemetery, discuss and approve payment of ICAP liability insurance, determination on whether or not to continue insurance on ambulance without 28E agreement for first responder group, discuss ICAP risk assessment review and city’s response, Res. 14-09: adopt updated MVR policy and procedures, discuss and approve various policies and procedures relating to employees, acknowledgement of receipt of keys and equipment, medical exam policy and procedures, drug testing policy and procedures, discuss and approve healthcare provider for city (employee physicals, etc.), follow up on determination of city services to be affected by budget cuts, discuss safety spotter solution for operations manager when digging and public comments.
