9:56 p.m. Melissa Marie Lawson, 49, of Cincinnati, was driving a 2008 Nissan Frontier north on 251st Avenue towards 580th Street. As the vehicle negotiated a curve onto 580th Street the vehicle went off the right side of the road. The vehicle entered a creek bed and over turned onto its roof. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $10,000. Lawson was transported to Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines by air ambulance with incapacitating injuries. Charges were listed as pending in the accident.

Jan. 29

1:14 a.m. Adam Joseph Clark, 26, of Moravia, was charged in the 100 block of East Charles Street with parole violation.

3:09 p.m. Terry Lloyd Foster, 40, of Centerville, was charged at the Law Center with failure to appear.

Jan. 30

4:33 p.m. Jason Paul Hayes, 36, of Centerville, was charged at Ninth and West Maple streets with failure to appear. He later posted bond and was released.

6:19 p.m. Amy Nellie Pottorff, 36, of Albia, was driving a 2005 Pontiac Vibe southbound in the 15000 block of Highway 5 when the vehicle struck a deer. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $2,000.

11:10 p.m. Terry Wayne Lear, 30, of Centerville, was charged in the 1600 block of South 23rd Street with contempt of court.
