Criminal mischief was reported in the 300 block of North 12th Street. Tires were reported punctured by the owner. Damage was estimated at $125.

Dec. 6

A three vehicle accident was reported in the 1000 block of North 14th Street. Joshua Sumpter, of Ivins, Utah, was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier northbound on North 14th Street. Sumpter’s attention was taken off the road because of an animal in the vehicle. Sumpter’s vehicle went off the west side of the road and made contact with a 2001 Park Avenue, owned by Roger Rees that was parked in the driveway of a resident on North 14th Street. The impact sent the 2001 Park Avenue into a 1996 Saturn, also owned by Rees. Damage to the 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier was $500, damage to the 2001 Park Avenue was $1,500 and damage to the 1996 Saturn was $300. No injuries were reported and no charges were filed.

Dec. 8

Criminal mischief was reported at 116 South 18th Street. A vehicle grille was reported broken, valued at $500. An officer located tire tracks that lead from the roadway to Jack’s Used Cars’ parking lot where a 2008 Cadillac had been hit by the suspect vehicle, causing damage to the grille.

Dec. 9

6:38 p.m. Michael Allen Peel, 39, of Centerville was charged at the intersection of Dewey Road and 230th Avenue with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

A two vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of 15th Street and Terry Street. Jonathan McEarchern, of Seymour, was traveling northbound on 15th Street in a 2006 Chevrolet HHR and was approaching the intersection of 15th Street and Terry Street.

The accident report states the roads were snow covered and Makenzie Richmond, driving a 2001 Dodge Ram, was driving too fast and was unable to come to a stop at the stop sign. McEarchern noticed that Richmond was not going to be able to stop at the stop sign and McEarchern attempted to stop but could not because of the road conditions. Richmond’s vehicle slid into the intersection and made contact with McEarchern’s vehicle. Damage to Richmond’s vehicle was estimated at $1,000 while damage to McEarchern’s vehicle was estimated at $1,500. No injuries were reported.

Dec. 10

9:28 p.m. Derek Riley Miller, 24, of Moravia, was charged in the 800 block of South 10th with probation/parole revocation.

Dec. 12

Criminal mischief was reported in the 800 block of South 15th Street. A wooden fence was reported damaged. Estimated cost of damage was $10.

A two vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of Haynes Avenue and Van Buren Street. David Taylor, of Centerville, was driving a 2010 Buick Enclave when he failed to make a complete stop at a stop sign and proceeded eastbound to enter the roadway. Elizabeth Starr, of Numa, was driving her 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier northbound. The two vehicles collided in the roadway. Damage to Taylor’s vehicle was estimated at $2,000. Damages to Starr’s vehicle was $5,000. Taylor was charged with failure to obey a stop sign.

Dec. 13

An accident was reported at the intersection of 18th Street and Terry Street in Centerville. Dale Collins, of Centerville, was stopped on South 18th Street to make a turn on to Terry Street in his 1979 Chevrolet Truck. Jason Whitehead, of Centerville, stopped behind Collins in his 1995 Ford Ranger. A 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe, driving by Jodi Bradley, of Cincinnati, rear ended Collins’ vehicle, which pushed Collins’ vehicle into the rear of Whitehead’s vehicle. Bradley was charged with failure to maintain control. Whitehead was charged with driving while suspended. Damage to Bradley’s vehicle was estimated at $800, damage to Whitehead’s vehicle was estimated at $3,000 and damage to Collins’ vehicle was estimated at $300. Whitehead was listed in the accident report as injured.

7:30 a.m. Floyd Duane Robb, 67, of Centerville, was charged at the Centerville Law Center with OWI, second offense.

2:39 p.m. Tabatha Kay Kuehl, 26, of Centerville, was charged at the Centerville Law Center with identity theft and credit card forgery. She posted bond and was released.

Dec. 14

3:53 p.m. Cristy Lee Thudium, 34, of Centerville, was charged in the 100 block of North 18th Street with failure to appear. She posted bond and was released.

Dec. 15

1:18 a.m. Michael Lynn Woodbury, 22, of Cedar Rapids, was charged in the 700 block of North 18th Street with public intoxication.

10:14 a.m. Emma Irene Mericle, 60, of Centerville, was charged at the Centerville Law Center with violation of a no contact order. She was released on her own recognizance.

1:55 p.m. Lorrie Gene Thudium, 32, of Centerville, was charged with failure to appear at the intersection of 20th Street and East Oneal Street.

Dec. 16

4:19 p.m. Charlet Nashay Knowles, 32, of Ottumwa, was charged at the Centerville Law Center with probation/parole revocation.

Dec. 17

An accident was reported at 1006 North 18th Street. Karen Hughes was driving a 2003 gold Chrysler Town and Country into a parking space. Margaret Zimmer, of Centerville, was driving a 1993 red Chevrolet Lumina and was blinded by the sun. Zimmer’s vehicle collided with the driver’s side door of Hughes’ vehicle that was parked at the time of impact. No charges were filed and no injuries were reported. Hughes’ vehicle had an estimated $200 of damage. There was no estimated damage for Zimmer’s vehicle.

Dec. 18

6:30 p.m. Carrie Ann Scott, 32, of Centerville, was charged at the Centerville Law Center with failure to appear.

Dec. 19

8:44 a.m. David Lee Henderson, 50, of Centerville, was arrested at 205 West Van Buren Street for an out of county warrant. Henderson posted bond and was released.

7:29 p.m. Bradley Ryan Ruggles, 49 of Unionville, Mo., was charged in the 500 block of South Drake Avenue with OWI, second offense.
