Nov. 17
5:04 p.m. An accident was reported in the 22000 block of 217th Avenue. Ryan Gabriel Moore, 32, of Centerville was driving a 2000 Chevy southbound on 217th Avenue when he struck a deer causing an estimated $1,000 of damage to his vehicle.
Nov. 18
5:27 p.m. An accident was reported in the 21000 block of Highway J5T. Tracy Jolene Hatfield, 23, of Moravia was driving a 2002 Chevy northbound on Highway J5T when she struck a deer causing an estimated $4,000 in damage to her vehicle.
Nov. 19
11:18 p.m. An accident was reported in the 28000 block of Highway 2. Sean Craig Fowler, 19, of Bloomfield was driving a 2000 Ford eastbound on Highway 2 when he struck a deer causing an estimated $2,500 in damage to his vehicle.
Nov. 20
1:26 p.m. An accident was reported on 18th Street. Evelyn K. Davidson, 32, of Kirksville, Mo. was driving a 2003 Jeep southbound on North 18th Street. Rosella Irene Ceniseros, 67, of Seymour was driving a 2000 Plymouth northbound on North 18th Street in the center turn lane. Ceniseros attempted to turn left into a business drive and failed to yield to Davidson’s vehicle. The vehicles collided in the southbound lane of North 18th Street. Damage to Davidson’s vehicle was estimated at $2,500. Damage to Ceniseros’ vehicle was estimated at $1,500. Ceniseros was charged with failure to yield upon making a left turn and failure to prove security against liability.
5:42 p.m. An accident was reported on Highway 5. Jennifer Rae Boettcher, 34, of Albia was driving a 1993 Mercury northbound on Highway 5 when she struck a deer causing an estimated $1,500 in damage to her vehicle.

6:46 a.m. An accident was reported at the intersection of Highways J5T and S70. Christopher William Strube, 46, of Centerville was driving a 20008 Nissan westbound on Highway J5T and due to heavy fog was not able to stop at the intersection of Highways J5T and S70. Strube crossed the center line, entered the eastbound roadway, entered the eastbound ditch and struck a utility pole causing an estimated $6,000 in damage to his vehicle.
8:04 a.m. An accident was reported on Highway J5T. Walter Eugene Buban, 46, of Mystic was driving a 2002 Chevrolet eastbound on Highway J5T when he struck a deer causing an estimated $2,500 in damage to his vehicle.

2:32 p.m. Tira Marlene Cosgrove, 29, of Centerville was charged at 425th and T 61 with driving while barred, fraudulent use of registration, no proof of insurance and excessive noise from mufflers. She was later released on her own recognizance.
Nov. 23
1:38 a.m. Christopher McFadden, 42, of Bloomfield was charged at 200 N. Tenth St. with OWI, first offense.

Nov. 17
South Central Communications reported to Corydon Police that someone had vandalized a generator at their building in Corydon. It appeared that an unknown substance had been poured into the fuel tank.
Nov. 17
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Zachary Taylor Bingham, 18, of Allerton after his pickup was found stuck in a ditch on private property at Fairground Road and Newton Road. The ground had been damaged by the truck when it left numerous ruts. Damage to the ground was listed at $300. Bingham was charged with fourth degree criminal mischief and reckless driving. He appeared before the Magistrate the following day and was released on his own recognizance.
Nov. 18
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office investigated a property damage accident approximately four miles east of Humeston. A 2009 Ford pickup driven by Rita Netha Rodgers, 57, of Humeston was eastbound on J22 when a deer ran into its path. Damage to Rodgers’ truck was estimated at $3,500.
Nov. 19
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Brandon Lee Murphy, 22, of Des Moines following a traffic stop on 50th Street in Clay Township. Murphy was charged with OWI, possession of a schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine) and driving while barred. Murphy appeared before the Magistrate the following day and is currently being held in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $4,000 bond.
Nov. 20
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office investigated a property damage accident in the parking lot at the Front Street Market in Humeston. A 2006 Chevrolet driven by Connie Ellen Morris, 66, of Garden Grove was pulling into a parking space when the driver’s foot slipped off the brake and the vehicle struck the building. Damage to Morris’ car was estimated at $500. Damage to the building was listed at $1,000.
Nov. 21
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Tonya Marie Henkle, 20, of Cedar Rapids after a traffic accident approximately two miles west of Corydon. Henkle was eastbound on Highway 2 when the 1997 Saturn she was driving crossed the center line and sideswiped a westbound truck. Henkle was charged with OWI, possession of alcohol under the legal age, failure to maintain control and driving on the wrong side of a two-lane highway. Henkle appeared before the Magistrate later in the day and was released on her own recognizance.
