April 26
11:21 a.m. An accident was reported on Highway J46 southwest of 180th Avenue. A 1998 Chevrolet driven by Tina Marie Martin, 39, of Centerville was eastbound on J46. The sheriff said the vehicle was driven onto the shoulder, the driver over-corrected and lost control. The vehicle began a series of rollovers on the highway and went into a ditch, striking a utility pole. It then came to rest on its wheels. Martin was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Centerville by a private vehicle with possible injuries. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $5,000 with no damage to the pole.

Seymour police charged Gary Lynn Taylor, 70, of Seymour following a traffic stop on a Seymour street with OWI and failure to have a valid driver’s license.
Corydon police charged Will Everett Kuhns, 25, of Corydon with OWI after the pickup he was driving left the roadway near Highway 14 and East Anthony Street in Corydon. Kuhns appeared before the magistrate later in the day and was released on his own recognizance.
Corydon police investigated a two-car accident on East State Street in Corydon. A 1993 Chevrolet driven by Linda Lou Clark, 52, of Mount Pleasant was westbound on East State Street when it came to a stop and was struck in the rear by a 1996 Dodge van driven by Melinda Kathleen Martley, 54, of Corydon. Damage was estimated at $1,000 to Clark’s car and at $250 to Mrtley’s van.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office charged Jeffery Jay Lovell, 21, of Lineville with second degree burglary following an incident at a Lineville residence. He was released after posting $500 bond.
