APPANOOSE COUNTY —
Marybeth Heikes is pleased to announce the acceptance of her two paintings in the national exhibition, "Watercolor II: Paper & Pigment." "Palette Talk #2" and "Hake & Squirrel" were juried by nationally recognized artist Carol Carter.
Her watercolors will be exhibited at the Foundry Gallery in St. Charles, Mo. The show opens Dec. 21 and continues through Feb. 1, 2013.
Marybeth is currently working on the still life palette series comprised of her brushes, paints and many palettes. She has been working in this genre since the late 1980s. All of her subjects have been found right in her backyard, including the chairs, incinerators, hay balers and Union Pacific engines. They all have been exhibited widely throughout the country in national shows and she has received numerous awards for them.
