2 heads of broccoli cut to the florets not to much stems (save these for great soup)
½ lb. of bacon
½ onion chopped
1 ½ c. mayo or salad dressing whichever you like best
2 Tb. cider vinegar
2/3 c. of sugar if using salad dressing use a little bit less
1 c. of cheddar cheese
salt and pepper to taste
Put your broccoli in a large bowl, in a frying pan cook bacon and onions to your desired oneness. After the bacon and onions cool a bit add to the bowl of broccoli. In a separate bowl make your dressing by combing all the rest of the ingredients and mixing with the broccoli bowl. It is best to do this a day ahead so the flavors meld together.
