•CENTERVILLE LEGION POST 214, meets the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Continental at St. Joseph’s in the meeting room to the right of the V.A. office.
•APPANOOSE COUNTY weekly meals, invites everyone to enjoy a free meal and fellowship every Monday at Faith United Methodist Church on Highway 5 South near John Deere. Meals are available from 5-6 p.m. The menu for Monday will be sloppy joes, corn, potato salad, baked beans and cake with milk, lemonade, water, coffee or tea. Indian Hills Nursing School will be hosting this meal.
•JOIN NEST, a parent education class for expecting parents or parents with children up to 3 years old. Any parents can attend by filling out an enrollment packet. There is a class held at 1:30 p.m., one at 5 p.m. and one at 6 p.m. each Tuesday at the Extension Office, 501 N. 12th St. in Centerville.
•TAKING OFF POUNDS SENSIBLY, “TOPS,” meets Tuesdays at 6 p.m. at the First Baptist Church. Weigh-in begins at 6 p.m. and meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Everyone welcome.
•AMERICAN LEGION 280, in Moulton, will meet the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Legion Hall.
•TOUCHING OUR GRIEF, an ongoing educational grief and support group though HCI Care Service meets the third Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. at the office HCI Care Services, 103 E. • HONEY CREEK, 9–10 a.m. – Prairie Walk – Enjoy a morning hiking through our prairie with a naturalist. Meet at the Activities Building. Wear comfortable clothes. Great for all ages. The trails are relatively flat and easy to walk. 3:30–4 p.m. – Activities Building Tour – Meet on the Activities Building deck to tour Honey Creek Resort’s newest facility and learn how it utilizes existing technologies to be a leader in green living.
