---- — The Monroe County Master Gardeners and Friends will have Lucas County Horticulturist Robin Montgomery Kennedy present a program tonight at 6:30 p.m. on Heirloom Gardening. Robin will touch on the definition, history, reasons to plant heirloom varieties and suggest some types of heirlooms for your garden. This presentation will be at the Monroe County Extension Office in Albia at 219 2nd Ave. West.

Robin Montgomery Kennedy is the Lucas County Master Gardener Coordinator and has taught at the college level for more than a decade. Her love for nature, gardening and passion for food issues, as well as her teaching, writing and speaking experience has led her into the realm of horticulture and will make the evening enjoyable and enlightening. This free presentation is open to the public.
