---- — On March 29 the AmeriCorps students and leaders had a bake sale at the Eagles Bingo Hall, to raise funds originally planned for the care and rescue of the animals that were taken from the home in Drakesville. Upon further research we found out that those animals had all been transferred to Des Moines rescue facilities. The students were polled and the donation instead was sent to the Appanoose County Conservation Foundation through Sharon Bluffs and was specifically earmarked for the feeding and care of injured wildlife. Students baked many of the goods but we also had donations from The Eagles Auxiliary ladies, The Exline Royal Neighbors and Admire-able Cakes. With the purchases made from the community, AmeriCorps was able to raise and donate $210.50.
