The Friends of the Drake Library held their April meeting at the Drake Library on April 29 at 4 p.m. Members approved continuing the program, “Books for Babies,” which provides a new baby in Appanoose County with a book, a bib, baby’s first library card and some important information for the parents on how to get your child into books at an early age. And it’s all free.
The Summer Reading Program will be in June and July with fabulous, thrilling books by Paige Shelton. The series is titled, “Farmer’s Market Mysteries,” and these are now available for the mystery buffs. Check out all the new titles in the library.
The next meeting will be held Aug. 26 at 4 p.m. All members who make a special effort to attend meetings, donate items and time and give support to the Drake Library in so many ways during the year are appreciated. Happy reading to all ages!
