10-11 a.m. – Kayaking 101 – During this one-hour program participants will get hands-on experience shuttling their kayaks,Text ColorSwatch/NoneStrokeStyle/$ID/SolidText ColorSwatch/NoneStrokeStyle/$ID/Solid$ID/NothingText ColorText Color$ID/NothingText ColorText Color getting in and out and paddling on the lake. Meet the kayaking beach located just north of the boat docks. Solo kayaks and paddles will be provided. Some PFDs are available but participants may bring their own. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that can get wet. This class is for people 12 years and older. Minors must have a guardian present and participating. APPANOOSE COUNTY WEEKLY MEALS, You are invited to enjoy an ecumenical/community free meal with fellowship every Monday night on Highway 5 north of John Deer at Faith Methodist Church. Meals are available from 5-6 p.m. The menu for today will be hamburgers, hot dogs, brats with kraut, potato salad, chips, veggie tray and butterscotch dessert with milk, lemonade, water, tea or coffee to drink. Indian Hills Nursing Students will host this meal.
