Just a quick note before the Fourth, don’t forget to make Exline the place to spend your holiday.
There will be a pie contest, cake walk, By Dawns Early Light run, cutie pie contest and many other activities leading up to the big Fireworks show.
We are still in need of cakes for the cake walk. Any cake mix cake will do, nothing fancy.
The local 4-H club, Exline Ramblers, received a grant to get picnic tables and benches so look for those on the Fourth as well. The new picnic shelter is done and ready for the Fourth and Irvin Masonry is trying very hard to get the playground, basketball court and the flag memorial all done in time for the festivities. The weather is looking good for the Fourth and all the preparations, let’s hope they’re right.
Don’t forget the farmers market on Wednesdays from 3:30-6 p.m.
Great news from the Exline Permaculture Society…we have confirmation from the Exline Betterment Committee to proceed with Exline Library. More information will come later. Do not donate books yet. We have much to do ahead of that.
It’s summer and time for visits. John and Ruth Methaney went to Kentucky to visit his mother and family. Eathan Hurley was up to visit family as well.
Soon it will be fair time, so get ready.
