EXLINE FOURTH OF JULY, will include flag raising at 6:45 a.m., run/walk at 7 a.m., cutie contest at 10:30 a.m., pie contest at 11 a.m., poker run at 12 p.m., cake walk at Community Center at 1 p.m., Citizen of the Year announcement at 6:45 p.m. karaoke at 7 p.m. with fireworks at dusk. All day activities include a flea market, food court, gas engine display and tour the museum.
UNIONVILLE, MO. FOURTH OF JULY, will include a car show at 12 p.m., a parade at 2 p.m. and fireworks at dusk.
HONEY CREEK, 9-10 a.m. – Stand Up Paddleboarding Basics – See Thursday’s entry.
10–11 a.m. – Kayaking 101 – Learn to kayak for free. Participants get hands-on experience shuttling kayaks, getting in and out and paddling on the lake. Solo kayaks and paddles will be provided. Some PFDs are available. Must be 12 or older and minors must have a guardian present and participating. Participants must feel comfortable in the water. 11 a.m.–12 p.m. – Family Kayaking – This program is designed for children under the age of 12 with a participating guardian. The child and guardian will learn the basics of kayaking on dry land. When it comes time to launch, the guardian will wade into the water and hold the boat for the child then allow them to demonstrate their paddling techniques.
