I know it’s been awhile but tis the season right? Christmas is just three weeks away. I can’t believe how quickly the year goes anymore.
I hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends. I’m also thankful no one got clobbered on Black Friday.
Just a quick few notes.
The Exline Store will be holding their annual Cookie Exchange on Friday, Dec. 20 at 9 a.m.
Make two dozen cookies to exchange for another two dozen for your gatherings. Don’t forget to bring a container to take your two dozen home. This has always been a fun party so make sure you plan to be there!
Royal Neighbors is giving gifts to the children in the shelter and if anyone would like to donate please drop gifts at the Exline Store or call (641) 658-2691 for pick up.
The Royal Neighbors will wrap the donated presents on Dec. 11 at 12 p.m.
The Royal Neighbors meeting is Monday, Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. at the community center.
The Exline community Christmas dinner is Saturday, Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. at the community center. Please bring a covered dish. Please come for the food fun and a chance to talk with our local characters.
The December birthday party was held at the Exline Store on Wednesday, Dec. 4.
Celebrating this month were: Bonnie Talbot, Loretta Seeler, Kay Hanson, Herb Mathes and one anniversary, Gene and Bonnie Talbot.
There were only a few visits in the area reported.
Ethan Hurley will be here to spend the weekend with his grandmother MaryAnn and a side note Ethan was Student of the Month at Boonville, Mo. school.
Ruth Mathaney had her grandchildren visit for the week while John went to visit his children.
