November is National Family Caregiver Month. National Family Caregivers Month is a time to thank, support, educate and empower family caregivers. Celebrating Family Caregivers during November enables all of us to:
• Raise awareness of family caregiver issues
• Celebrate the efforts of family caregivers
• Educate family caregivers about self-identification
• Increase support for family caregivers
Anyone who is providing for another individual in some way that contributes to that individual’s well-being physically, emotionally, or spiritually is a CAREGIVER.
At Seneca Area Agency on Aging we believe a caregiver’s role is extremely important and recognize that often time’s family caregivers neglect their own needs. Day in and day out, more than 65 million family caregivers in this country fulfill vital role on the care team.
Seneca Area Agency on Aging Family Caregiver Program invites family caregivers to the Family Caregiver Conference on Nov. 9 in Ottumwa.
Call Joan at (800) 642-6522 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. This complimentary conference consists of speakers, lunch, vendors, spa, gift and door prizes.
