On Tuesday, Nov. 19 we will have an Alaska trip slide show. David Godby, Nancy Klum and I will present a picture show on the TV of our last trip to Alaska. The show starts at 10:30 a.m. so plan to come in early. The meal will follow with a menu of: pork-loin with dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, scalloped cabbage and fruit.
On Wednesday, Nov. 20 we will start our new program “Fresh Conversation’s.” This month’s topic will be the importance of tooth care and oral hygiene. All in attendance will receive a tooth brush, tooth paste and dental floss. Drawings will be done for additional mouth wash and rinse agents. This program will start monthly at 11 a.m. so plan to come early. The “early bird gets the worm” you might say, because those in attendance at 11 a.m. will receive the incentives.
On Thursday, Nov. 21 we will co-sponsor the “Iowa Fraud Fighters Forum.” This will be in the place of our yearly senior forum. It will also be held at Honey Creek Resort. The forum will run from 11:30 am until 2 p.m. This program will be free and include a meal and transportation if necessary. The bus will depart our meal-site at 11 a.m. This event is limited to the first 200 respondents. Advanced registration is necessary by calling 1-866-559-7114. This preregistration will be the only way to assure your attendance. Remember, this is limited to only 200 people. This is presented by the Iowa Insurance Division. You cannot just sign up at the club.
Tuesday, Nov. 26 will be our second monthly Wii bowling tournament. Again, we ask that you sign up as soon as possible because the slots fill up fast.
Wednesday, Nov. 27 will be our Thanksgiving meal. Instead of chicken on Wednesday we pick the bigger bird being turkey. Along with the turkey we will have: dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, cranberry sauce, hot rolls and pumpkin pie and cool whip. The meal starts at 11:30 a.m. We hope to see everyone for lunch. This is our family meal and the employees all look forward to having our “family” together. Everyone at the 18-80 Club wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving.
